Your Year in Review

“Year in Review looks back at your year of listening in a set of full-screen cards. It counts every app you listen in, not only FableFrog. A new Binge Board on Stats shows the books and series that you finished fastest. Server admins also get a tool that tidies the spacing in book descriptions.”

New

  • Year in Review - FableFrog looks back at one calendar year of your listening in a set of full-screen cards. The cards show your total hours, your top month and each quarter of the year. Other cards show your biggest binge, your top series, your top author, when you listen and your longest streak. FableFrog leaves out a card with nothing to show. A tap on the right side or a swipe left opens the next card. A swipe down closes the review (Premium)
  • Every App You Listen In - Year in Review uses the listening sessions that your Audiobookshelf server records. It counts every library and every app, not only FableFrog. It counts books only, not podcasts. Your hours in FableFrog show next to the totals, not in place of them. Each session counts no more than the part of the book that it played (Premium)
  • Preview Your Year Now - The Year in Review card at the top of Stats shows a preview of 2026 so far. In January, the full review of the previous year opens by itself one time. Older reviews stay in the Past Years menu. A year needs at least 5 hours of listening for a review (Premium)
  • Your Listener Badge - The first card shows when you started to listen with FableFrog. If you joined before April 2026, you get the Founding Listener badge. If you joined in April or May 2026, you get the Early Listener badge. The last card thanks you for listening (Premium)
  • Opens Fast, Works Offline - FableFrog keeps a copy of your listening sessions on your device and gets only the changes from the server. The first review needs a connection. If you are offline after that, the last review opens from the copy. Sign-out, Clear Cache and Clear Everything remove the copy (Premium)
  • Binge Board - The year section of Stats has a new Binge Board. It shows your 5 fastest reads and your top 3 series runs for the selected year. The pace is the hours of book per day, from the start of your listening to the finish. A series run is 2 or more books in one series. Each book starts within 7 days of the latest finish in the run (Premium)
  • Description Cleanup - Settings → Server Admin → Clean Up Descriptions tidies the spacing in the book descriptions on your server. It removes stray spaces and empty paragraphs. It can also separate paragraphs that run together and join a sentence that breaks across two lines. You see every change before FableFrog writes anything. The tool never changes the words, and it does not touch descriptions with lists or headings (Premium)

  • Fastest Reads Move to the Binge Board - Fastest Reads left the All Time section of Stats and is now part of the Binge Board, one year at a time. The pace now starts at the listening that finished the book. A book needs listening that covers at least 80% of it. A book that you marked as finished without this listening still counts as finished, but it does not show as a fast read (Premium)
  • Cleaner Book Descriptions - Some descriptions start a line with stray spaces, so the text on the book page looked indented at random. The book page now removes these spaces. Descriptions that use <div> blocks now show their paragraph breaks
