“Every listener keeps a mental list of what's next. Now the frog keeps it for you. The Reading List is one to-read queue for your account that holds the books you own and the ones you don't yet, adds a whole series in a tap, and answers "what now?" the moment a book ends. Plus transcription and recaps that follow each book's own language, Premium that covers your whole Family, and a listening stats screen that finally scrolls like it should.”

New

  • Your Reading List - One ordered to-read queue for your account, holding both the books already in your library and the ones you haven't got yet. Owned books play straight from the list; unowned ones link out to Audible so you can go pick them up. Reorder by dragging, swipe to remove, and reach it from a Home shelf, its own page, or a navigation tab you can enable (Premium)
  • Books You Don't Own Yet - Add an upcoming or unreleased Audible title straight from its Upcoming detail sheet, keyed by ASIN. When that book later shows up in your Audiobookshelf library, the entry quietly becomes playable in place, keeping its spot in your queue. No prompt, no re-adding, no duplicate (Premium)
  • Add a Whole Series at Once - One tap on a series page queues every unfinished book in it, in sequence order: the ones you own that you haven't finished, followed by the upcoming ones you don't own yet. Finished books and anything already on your list are skipped (Premium)
  • What's Next? - Finishing a book now opens a proper end-of-book menu instead of a bare "start next book?" prompt. It offers up to two choices - the next unfinished book in the series and the top of your Reading List - with the playable one as the main Keep Listening button. The finished book drops off your list automatically, with an Undo right there if you disagree (Premium)
  • Reading List Settings - Decide whether new books land at the top or the bottom of your queue, and optionally have a book add itself the moment its download finishes. Both live in Settings → Reading List (Premium)
  • Transcription Reads Your Language - Transcription now follows each book's own language instead of assuming English, using the language from your Audiobookshelf metadata. A German book gets the German recognizer. If the metadata is wrong or missing, override it per book from the book's detail page (Premium · iOS 26)
  • Recaps in the Book's Language - A recap now comes back in the language the book was transcribed in, and says so. A German book gets a German recap (Premium · iOS 26 · Apple Intelligence)
  • Premium Covers Your Family - Both the lifetime and annual purchases now work with Family Sharing, so one purchase unlocks Premium for everyone in your Family group
  • Hindi & Russian - Both languages are now fully translated rather than partly, bringing FableFrog to 19 fully localized languages

  • A Stats Screen That Scrolls - Every section of listening statistics is now computed off the main thread into a prepared snapshot before it renders, and the page builds its sections lazily as you scroll. The screen opens and moves smoothly even with years of history behind it
  • Faster Library Browsing - The filter and search pipeline is computed once per change instead of re-running on every redraw, the search index grows only by what a new page adds, and download badges read from memory instead of touching disk while you scroll. Browsing and filtering stay quick as your library grows
  • Quicker Home Screen - The favorites shelf fetches in parallel rather than one book at a time, so Home paints sooner

Fixed

  • Your Ebook Keeps Your Page - For a book with both audio and an ebook, listening no longer resets your reading place. An audio progress save was overwriting the page you'd read to, sending you back to the start of the book the next time you opened it. Your reading place and your listening place are now kept separately, and any book already split across two conflicting records is healed on the spot
  • Sign-In Survives a Locked Launch - If the app launched while your device was still locked, its stored credentials were unreachable and you were signed out. FableFrog now recognizes that case and recovers your session once the device unlocks
  • Playback Recovers From an Audio Reset - When iOS resets its media services (which can happen after a call, an audio-route change, or a system hiccup), playback now recovers instead of treating the interruption as a corrupted download
  • Books Wrongly Flagged as Corrupt Are Clear - Transient audio errors previously got books added to a corrupted-download list they never left. That list is cleared once, and transient errors are no longer mistaken for corruption
  • Cleared Progress Stays Cleared - Clearing a book out of Continue Listening now removes the right record. Two different writers could disagree about which record identified a book, leaving a second copy behind that brought your progress right back
  • No Duplicate Listening Sessions - Starting a downloaded book offline no longer opens a second playback session on the server when it reconnects
  • Accurate Rapid Skips - Skip forward and backward now measure from where the player is heading rather than where it currently is, so tapping several times in a row lands where you'd expect
  • Recaps Handle Long Passages - A 15-minute recap of a fast-narrated stretch could overflow the on-device model's context window and simply fail. It now retries with a trimmed, most-recent passage instead
  • Transcription at Launch - In the first moments after a cold launch, before the device reported which speech models it has, transcription could misjudge a book as untranscribable. It now waits for a real answer
  • Signing Out Clears More - The cached Home shelves and abandoned-book lookups are now wiped on sign out along with everything else
  • Safer File Handling - Names and identifiers supplied by the server are now validated before they're used to build local file paths for downloads and ebooks
